When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life you have thousand reasons to smile.
I had the idea to write this post while scrolling through YouTube and reading my friend Olivia’s post. One of the thing that struck me was in this world there are not the same types of people living as it was years back. For example, we are all going to die, every single one of us on this planet to be replaced by someone different. Leaving behind only fragments of history. Becoming a past tense.
For the purpose of writing this post, I tried something different, throughout the whole week I came back to this and wrote down everything that is making me feel happy. Providing me with small pleasures of life. I often talk about the little things and I really want practice this more and more, hence the post.
We only live once. There’s no way of redoing it, we wouldn’t get this chance ever again. Why should we have this lingering sadness follow us around. Why let it happen when we have so many things to look forward to. This world can be truly beautiful when we take into consideration the little things. If you are interested, keep on reading:

1) Smell Of Herbal Tea
I can’t believe there’s so many different tastes out there. The super blend range by Twinnings are my absolute fave. This week I was so very excited to rummage through my cupboard to find what tea to drink for the evening. Because there’s nothing to do these days, it’s nice to have something to look forward to in the evenings.
2) First Flakes Of Snow As They Tumble From The Sky
It’s been snowing here and its always a pleasure to watch the first flakes of snow as they tumble from the heavens. A sight to witness and forever capture it in your mind.
3) The Feel Of New Books
I can’t tell you just how much this brings joy to my life. From looking at new books, the neat cover, crisp pages to the words that are within it which will make you feel all the emotion as you read it. A pure bliss. This weekend I brought the brand new Robert Hunter thriller number 11 and I devoured it within 2 sitting. Not sorry! I have huge crush on this fictional detective.

4) The Winter Sun Shining Through The Window
I love winter sun. Did I say that enough.
5) Watching My Favourite TV Show
Yes, all of us are watching a lot of television than ever before. The funny thing is I always loved watching television. Flicking through the channels. Currently, I am watching “The Great” which is loosely based on the life of Catherine the great, 17th century’s Russian Empress. It’s a comedy-drama and not at all based on real events, and that what makes this so watchable.
If you have any suggestion on what to watch on Netflix, please let me know —I am struggling to find something to watch.

6) Listening To Music In The Evening
I have started to do this more often this winter. Light music in the background while I am cleaning. Sometimes to dance, where other times just enjoy the lyrics. The music takes you on a ride to wherever you want to go.
7) Daily Prayers
I love my prayers. It is not all that difficult to fall into the trap of feeling something bad will happen and having the daily prayers provide me with much-needed serenity and peace. Some moments alone with God.
8) Adoption Videos On YouTube
If you read my previous post, you would know I was pretty sad about the ongoings of this world. It is very frustrating to see the unfairness of the world but one thing that truly, truly makes my heart filled with hope and all the good emotions is when I binge-watched all the adoption videos on YouTube. The act of kindness by people that makes you believe in goodwill. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Filling someone’s life with a forever home and never ending love.
It is beautiful. It makes you feel warm inside and believe in humanity. There’s always positivity out there, in this uncertain world.

Awww this is such a cute post. I love the smell of coffee – my brain doesn’t start working till I get a whiff of coffee.
I love the smell of books – both old and new.
The life of Catherine – wow – sounds like an interesting show. Netflix show recommendations – Dead To Me, The Good Place.
There is this British Youtuber – ClickForTaz – she has really cute videos. She does all these challenges like trying to live off of 1 pound a day and it’s hilarious to watch her.

And who doesn’t love coffee. I especially enjoy having coffee in the quite hours of the morning —just me and the rising sun for company.
